Bible study Topic: A friendship example from the Bible
The story of David and Jonathan (大衛與約拿單) 1 Samuel 20
After Bible study, we will have some time to talk about and prep for the coffee house coming up. There will be some time to discuss the tasks that need to be done. There's only a few weeks left and lots to be done! The most important thing is prayer support, and another thing is to start inviting your friends!!!
So, this Friday, Aug 18, 2006 - 8pm - KK + May jie jie house!
After our excited camping, we have to back to normal. This Friday's fellowship will be Bible study on the character Samson (參孫). Please get prepared Judges Chapters 13-16 (士師記13-16章). If you do not read through the story, you will get lost in our joint Friday program.
August 11: Happy Birthday to ROCK!!!
Thanks for the invitation from Elijah's fellowship, I joined their camping trip to Birch Bay, WA after English Sunday service on Aug 5, 2006.
Number of participants: 17 + 1 dog
Day 1 Departure time: 12:30pm
Border crossing wait time: 2 hrs+Late lunch at Blaine's Subway (just past the border)
Set up at campsite
Biking with Pika
Walked to the beach and captured the sunset (while Horn checked out the reception for his cell phone)
Campfire (hymns singing & heat up marshmellows)
Day 2 We checked the tide schedule and learned that 10am will be low tide -and it was time for clamming! We, including Pika the dog, dug holes and picked a whole bunch. The highlight was the finding of Geoduck clams (象拔蚌). The tide was already getting high after our visit.
For most of us, these seafood became our dinner.
Praise to our Lord for the perfect weather!
UBC Chinese Christian Fellowship invited brothers and sisters to join their special program -- Simply Praise @ English Bay.
There, a group of university students & alumni walked to English Bay two and a half hours before the show began. We had a picnic and awesome praise & worship on site! Many people were looking at us, amazed by our voices and courage to sing various Christian hymes in public. Mexico did an outstanding job, especially when the fireworks were accompanied by their rhymic Latin fiesta songs.
Thank God for the perfect evening!
Have you noticed that the summer is half way through already? Our former mentors uncle Isaac and auntie Mabel have returned to Vancouver for the summer and we are very excited to have a fellowship at their house on Friday (Aug 4).
If you know anyone who has been to Joseph fellowship before, please pass this message along as this is a reunion. Uncle Isaac will also share his study life in Bible school.

Thanks Auntie Mabel for preparing all the snakes and desserts.
It has been a memorable evening!
